UKRAINE HAS JOINED THE WTO!
As of the 16th of May Ukraine is a WTO member country. It is a significant achievement for Ukraine after the accession negotiations, which started in 1993.
On behalf of all EBA Community we would like to welcome Ukraine as a 152-nd WTO member.
We look forward to seeing the Ukrainian economy breakthrough and successful steps in the coming years of all WTO member countries.
Meeting of Corporate Governance Working Group in the State Securities and Stock Market Commission
On 25.04.08 the EBA participated in the meeting of the Working Group on Corporate Governance established within the Government’s Investors Council. The agenda of the meeting covered a number of topics, in particular discussion of the Draft Joint Stock Company Law.
Cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection (continuation)
On 23.04.08 the meeting of the representatives of the Ministry of Environment of Ukraine with the Head of the ECPA CEEREG (European Crop Protection Association Central Eastern Europe Registration Expert Group) was held in the EBA office. It was first of the meetings planned as collaboration between ECPA and EBA Agrochemical Committee. The main discussed issue was amendments to the Procedure of the State Registration (Re-registration) in Ukraine (approved by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No 295 dated 04.03.96.
Abolishment of procedure of floor price definition for carbon credits
On 17.04.08 the Government adopted the Resolution No 392 on Ensuring Implementation of Ukraine’s International Commitments according to UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and Kyoto Protocol. In particular, the Resolution provides for abolishment of the CMU Resolution No 27 dated 30.01.08 on Approving the Procedure of Defining the Minimal Price for Emission Reduction Units.
Division of business entities according to risk levels of their activity in terms of plants quarantine
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine elaborated the Draft CMU Resolution on Division of Business Entities According to Risk Levels of their Activity in Terms of Plants Quarantine.
Europe Day in Donetsk with informational support of the EBA: round tables on European integration of Ukraine, Euro 2012 - EBA Donetsk Branch
was held on Saturday, 17.05.2008 at 12:00.
EBA Customs Committee
was held at the EBA office in Kyiv. The meeting was devoted to discussion of the issues of customs clearance procedures after “white lists” abolishment and technologies of customs control over consolidated cargo. The participants of the meeting expressed the problems their companies faced with regard to abolishment of simplified customs clearance regime.
EBA Real Estate Committee
was held at the EBA office in Kyiv. Among the other issue there was touched upon the Draft Law of Ukraine on Amendments to Legislation of Ukraine on Facilitation of Permitting Procedures within Construction. The latest version of it together with the explanatory note was delivered by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.
