Regulatory Affairs Committee

The Committee was established at the end of 2007 following a restructure of the EBA Exporters & Importers Committee. The main objective of the committee is to focus on technical regulations, market surveillance, permitting systems and other regulatory issues facing EBA member companies.

Last week the first meeting of Technical Regulation on cosmetic Working group of EBA Regulatory Committee was held. The meeting evolved representatives of MOH and Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine to discuss the Draft Technical Regulation on cosmetics. The participants agreed to continue cooperation between the ministries and business-community.

We are excited to announce about reformation of Committee in 2017 and creation of 3 working groups, such as technical regulation/cosmetic, waste management and permit system and consumer right protection. Continuation of systematic work on the implementation of the European approach in the field of waste management through the adoption of relevant legislation, namely the law "On Waste" and "On Packaging Waste" as part of the implementation of the national waste management strategy
Update of legislation in the field of consumer protection
Adoption of the draft technical regulations for cosmetic products taking into account the key comments of the members of the European Business Association
Advocacy of favorable amendments to the Rules for effluents acceptance to centralized drainage systems
Working Groups

In 2017 three working groups were created:
– on technical regulation and cosmetics;
– waste management;
– permit system and consumer rights protection.
