Advocacy achievements of the week

  The last week of April brought a batch of good news to our business community which we are happy to summarize in this material. Positive developments have been fostered in the field of trade, consumer protection, energy, corporate social responsibility, and regulatory issues. The National Strategy for creating a barrier-free space in Ukraine in the next 10 years. The EBA experts have actively contributed to the development of the strategy; Draft law №5175 was adopted. It provides for the extension of the duty on exports of ferrous scrap at the rate of 58 euros/ton for another 5 years; EBA received a letter of explanation from the Ministry of Economy regarding the possibility of imposing an anti-dumping duty on imports of PVC profile; The National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization has published a draft Resolution on new rules for providing information to consumers of electronic equipment, which takes into account the proposals of the EBA experts; The NEURC simplified the procedures for connecting consumers to the electricity grid; The Verkhovna Rada has appointed the Minister of Energy of Ukraine. The business community has been waiting for over a year for this decision.   • The National Strategy for creating a barrier-free space in Ukraine in the next 10 years. The EBA experts have actively contributed to the development of the strategy;
  • Draft law №5175 was adopted. It provides for the extension of the duty on exports of ferrous scrap at the rate of 58 euros/ton for another 5 years;
  • EBA received a letter of explanation from the Ministry of Economy regarding the possibility of imposing an anti-dumping duty on imports of PVC profile;
