Are you preparing for an interview? Take our professional checkup.

LinkedIn or Instagram – which one is more important for a professional profile?

LinkedIn is the main platform for building your professional image and networking. Recruiters and HR specialists use it to evaluate education, experience, skills, and recommendations. Having a complete and up-to-date LinkedIn profile significantly increases your chances of being noticed.

Instagram is more suitable for creative fields where visual work or a portfolio matters. You can showcase projects, style, and creativity. However, for most professions, LinkedIn takes priority because it shows professionalism and seriousness.

The ideal approach is to maintain both platforms: LinkedIn for career development and Instagram to showcase creative projects. Ensure that your information is consistent and up-to-date across platforms.

What should I write in a motivation letter?

A motivation letter is your opportunity to explain why you are the right fit for a company. Start by explaining why you are interested in that company and give an example of why its values or projects resonate with you.

Next, highlight your strengths and skills that make you suitable for the role, providing concrete examples or achievements. Conclude with a call to action, stating that you would be happy to discuss your experience in an interview. Keep the letter concise, structured, and personalized.

How should I prepare for questions about my weaknesses?

When asked about weaknesses, avoid trying to appear perfect. Choose one or two real areas you are working on. For example: "I sometimes focus too much on details, but I am learning to prioritize tasks effectively."

The key is to show willingness to grow and self-awareness. Honest and reflective answers often build trust with interviewers.

Should I ask about salary during the interview?

At early stages, it’s better to avoid asking about salary. Bringing it up too soon can appear inappropriate.

If the topic arises at the final stage, ask professionally, focusing on mutual benefit: "I would like to learn more about compensation and bonuses (salary) to understand the overall picture of working conditions." The main goal is to show interest in career growth, not just money.

How to prepare for technical/professional questions?

Review the job description and identify key skills and knowledge areas. Practice on relevant examples and case studies.

Don’t hesitate to review basic concepts – this helps answer standard questions confidently. Practicing situational or applied tasks will also demonstrate your analytical thinking.

What should I do if I don’t know the answer to a question?

Don’t panic. An honest answer like, "I’m not sure, but I can try to suggest a solution," is better than making something up.

Try to analyze the question logically and explain your thought process. This shows critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are valuable in any role.

How to make a good impression in an interview?

Be punctual, polite, and attentive. Prepare a few questions for the HR or manager to show genuine interest.

Maintain good body language, make eye contact, and listen carefully. Show enthusiasm, motivation to learn, and demonstrate interest in the company, not just the job position.

Would like to cooperate?

If you represent a university or company and would like to cooperate, please write to the HR and CSR project manager Viktor Derevianko at [email protected].
