EBA Odesa Psychology in Effects “Character and temperament. Leadership”

    Five meetings of our project EBA Odesa Psychology in Effect had passed. These were five significant steps towards understanding the psychology of personality in business. On September 11, the final meeting was held and dedicated to the theme Character and temperament. Leadership. Since time immemorial, mankind has been trying to single out typical features people’s mentality and  generalized portraits - personality types. Ms. Yurganova revealed the character’s signs and traits, determined its structure, accentuation and types. Knowing such kind of typology is practically useful, thanks to them you can predict the behavior of people in specific life situations. In addition, we talked about leadership as a socio-psychological process. Indeed, a deep understanding of the nature and basic qualities of a leader is extremely important for any successful person and organization. Nowadays the world is dynamic and unstable and  the ability to lead people and manage effectively is a particular value. During the meeting, we highlighted styles of leadership, the basic skills and qualities of an effective leader, among them: emotional stability, perseverance, enthusiasm, conscientiousness, self-confidence, accuracy of thinking and social courage. Of course,  the most important qualities of a leader  is charisma and  ability to motivate and lead others. As Ross Perot noted, “Lead and inspire people. Don’t try to manage and manipulate people. Inventories can be managed but people must be lead”.
