EBA invites the VRU Committee on Energy for a dialogue

22/ 04/ 2021
The European Business Association has always advocated and advocates for a constructive and transparent dialogue between business and government. It is normal to have differences in opinions and positions, and it is through a constructive discussion that opponents have the opportunity to prove their arguments in a civilized way. Surely, we understand that the position of the business community cannot always be supported by public authorities, and vice versa. That is why we regularly invite government officials to meetings to discuss and argue the positions of the parties. We are convinced that this is a civilized way of having a dialogue as part of the democratic law-making process unlike making behind-the-scenes accusations and discrediting another party on social networks. Thus, realizing the complexity and sensitivity of energy issues, the EBA Energy Committee, which unites energy companies, has repeatedly invited the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy – Mr. Andriy Gerus to a meeting so that proposals and comments from business and government can be worked out together to ensure the continuation of reforms necessary for Ukraines energy stability and independence. So, we hope that instead of commenting on the EBA activities on social networks, Mr. Gerus will agree to accept our invitation and we will have a meeting to discuss what are the red lines of the sector and in what direction to move to address them.   Be the first to learn about the latest EBA news with our Telegram-channel – EBAUkraine.
