Business discussed the issues of critical raw materials and the industry’s need for qualified personnel

19/ 03/ 2024
On March 19, the Subsoil Use Committee met with representatives of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). At the meeting, the participants discussed the important issue of staff shortage in the industry. Currently, businesses are emphasizing the need for qualified employees - project managers in subsoil use. Companies have a request to hire ready-made project managers with the ability to quickly integrate into business processes. In this context, the representatives of the EBA and the school discussed the possibility of launching a relevant development program at the KSE. In order to identify current educational needs, KSE, in partnership with the EBA, is planning to launch a special survey among market participants soon, the results of which may form the basis of a future program. Among other things, representatives of the EBA member companies discussed global trends in the use of critical raw materials and barriers to the development of subsoil use in Ukraine with Maksym Fedoseienko, Head of Strategic Projects at KSE Institute, and Tymofiy Mylovanov, President of KSE. In particular, they focused on the monitoring of special permits for subsoil use, as well as the measures proposed by the business to the Ukraine Facility to increase transparency in the industry and financial incentives for investment in the sector. In addition, the Committee members had the opportunity to get acquainted with the educational institution and discussed other opportunities for cooperation. We sincerely thank the participants for their participation and active discussions!
