09/ 02/ 2022
Kyiv, February 9, 2022: Shell in Ukraine is pleased to share that another 8 EV charging modules were recently installed at its fuel sites in cooperation with YASNO. Among them are 1 more high-speed DC station with a capacity of 53 kW and 7 - AC with a capacity of 22 kW.  With those new charging stations, Shell in Ukraine can offer EV charging services already at 10% of its network. The new EV charging modules have been installed at petrol stations in Kyiv: Liubomyr Husar Av., 5. and in Kyiv oblast: Kyiv-Sviatoshyno region, Sofiyivska Borshchahivka v, Soborna Street, 87; Kyiv-Sviatoshyno region,Vito-Poshtova village council, Kyiv-Odesa highway, 21 km+507. Brovary region, Velykodymerska village council, Kyiv-Chernihiv-Novi Yarylovychi highway, 41 km; Brovary region, Knyazhytska village council, Pivnichno-Skhidnyy Obkhid, 20 km; Boryspil region, Chubynske v., Kyyivska Street, 37; Boryspil region, Hora v., Boryspilska Street, 2; Obukhiv region, Pidhirtsi v., Stolychne Shose Street, 30. Prior to that, customers had the opportunity to use five high-speed charging stations located at the company’s fuel sites on the Kyiv-Odesa, Kyiv-Kharkiv, and Kyiv-Lviv highways, as well as at the sites in Kyiv and Kharkiv. Both CHAdeMo, CCS Combo2, and Type2 ports are available at high-speed charging stations, while at medium-power AC stations, Type2 port is available. The duration of charging depends on many factors, such as; equipment power, car model, air temperature. For example, it takes 30 – 40 minutes to recharge the battery power of Hyundai Ioniq from 0 to 80%, which is approximately enough for 100-125 km of mileage through the DC port, while through the AC port it would take approximately more than 3 hours. We are delighted to share this great news on sustainability progression, as we strive to create opportunities for drivers looking for cleaner and more sustainable solutions. In addition, Shell is proud to be part of the EV infrastructure development of the electric mobility in Ukraine, said Peter Kerekgyarto, General Director of Shell Retail Ukraine.  “YASNO is constantly expanding its portfolio of “green” solutions for customers. In particular, we are developing infrastructure for electric vehicles and offering charging equipment for home and corporate use. The YASNO E-mobility network already has 33 high-speed and 15 accelerated stations within the largest Ukrainian cities and on key highways. In addition, recently, we have updated the mobile application to make the charging process even more comfortable. It is vital that together with such responsible partners, such as Shell, we contribute to the development of electric mobility and decarbonization,” added Oleksandr Onyschenko, Director of Development for the Electricity, Gas, and Energy Efficiency Solutions Suppliers at YASNO.
