EBA Odesa Women’s Club: “Corporate style. Adaptation to everyday life”

04/ 03/ 2020
Often, we underestimate our appearance and its role in everyday life. But the right style can tell a lot about you and your business, as well as to create the right impression. Therefore, this time the EBA Odesa Womens Club gathered at Galkevich Showroom - the art studio of a young designer Anastasia Galkevich. Here we spoke with a practicing stylist, wardrobe analyst, and personal shopper, Polina Saleichuk, on the topic of corporate and personal styles, and how to combine them. Today the requirements for dress code are becoming softer, it is no longer limited to the white top and black bottom. For example, one-third of employers admit to the style of smart casual (or business casual), which implies a more democratic appearance. Thus, the smart casual gives us a field for fantasy and combines neutral shades with bright colors, fitted silhouettes with a touch of practicality, sport shoes beyond the standard classics, and details that are usually unacceptable in formal style. So, correctly placed accents create a corporate style that is not banal, but rather original and delicious. Participants were able to identify who they are by a seasonal color typing:  winter, spring, summer or autumn. Also, we learned about more in-depth method - directional, which includes twelve color types divided by temperature (cold, warm), saturation (bright, dim) and contrast (light, dark). These characteristics can and should be taken into account while choosing clothes. In addition, the stylist provided a helpful recommendation on figure correction and introduced tools for creating a total look (accessories, color, texture and print). By late evening, ladies were chatting in cozy atmosphere of the Galkevich Showroom. Now we are ready to meet the blossoming Spring!
