EBA Odesa Extended Coordination Council meeting

    On February 26, the first in 2020 meeting of newly elected EBA Odesa Coordination Council (RCC) with the participation of Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads was held. Kateryna Morozova, the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office Team Leader, provided brief information on the Offices activities in 2019 and shared news for the current period, in particular, on advocacy issues. Thus, from the start of this year, 3 individual requests from member companies have been proceeded. Production halt due to an accident at an electrical substation; an overvalue of the customs value; and extension of the loan agreement with the Odesa State Administration. In order to strengthen the dialogue with the authorities and to support the further lobbying activity of the Office, it was decided to continue and consolidate cooperation with the structural units of public authorities and local government. The RCC Members with the Committees’ and Working Groups’ Heads, discussed the main goals of the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office for 2020 and the ways of their achievement. These include active work on  protecting the interests of companies; attracting more representatives from different industries to the EBA Odesa; promoting EBA to other regions and increasing PR visibility of the Office; creating new formats and projects to develop priority spheres in the Southern Region. Also Alexander Lazarev was unanimously supported at the position of RCC Chairman. Thanks to all participants for productive brainstorming!
