About the Programme
Following the principles of sustainable development is a must-have for a successful business not only today, but also a ticket to profitability in the future. The challenges that companies are facing in their daily activities are related to the environmental and social sphere. Climate change, loss of biodiversity, racial discrimination, gender inequality – these are all risks, the insufficient attention to which can have catastrophic consequences both for each individual company and for the world as a whole. But we know how to turn challenges into opportunities, and we will be happy to share our knowledge with you!
EBA Management Development Centre invites you to take part in a brand new Online Program on Sustainable Development.
During the program, you will gain basic knowledge about sustainable development in business and accurately distinguish the concepts of Corporate social responsibility, Sustainability, ESG; learn how to build a sustainable development strategy and implement it; learn about the requirements for reporting in the field of sustainable development and its types; form an idea about sustainable investments and their role in the financial sector.
As a result of completing the program, you will receive a set of tools for the sustainable development of your business and receive a certificate of its completion.

Module 1. Development of ESG strategies – September, 13 (16:00 – 18:00)
Trainer: Maryna Saprykina, a chairwoman of the board of the Center “CSR Development”, certified expert in CSR, Executive MBA (Sheffield), conducts CSR trainings, advises companies, is an expert on the ISO 26000 international standard for social responsibility.
Today, many companies are developing ESG strategies to meet the main EU requirements for sustainable reporting and due diligence, which have been adopted or will come into force in 2023. Ukrainian companies also need to prepare for the requirements, which in the future will be extended to companies from countries outside the EU, but which import or are suppliers to EU countries. That is why in this module we will consider the following questions:
- CSR, sustainable development or ESG strategies: what to choose and why;
- How to coordinate these strategies with the overall strategy of the company;
- Basic requirements of EU directives and other stakeholders to your company;
- Issues E, S and G for your business and management of these issues;
- Action plan and measurement of the results of ESG strategies;
- ESG strategy vs non-financial reporting: what is primary.
Module 2. Sustainable development in business – September, 20 (16:00 – 18:00)
Trainer: Olga Boyko, a coordinator of the Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee of the European Business Association, has 10 years of experience in the field of Sustainability in the business environment: in 2013-2019, she managed projects on inclusiveness and diversity, as well as combating climate change at Auchan Ukraine.

Module 3 – Sustainability reporting: a step-by-step algorithm for preparing a report – September 27 (16:00 – 18:00)
Trainer: Klaudia Shevelyuk is a senior consultant in Ramboll, an international company that has extensive experience in integrated sustainability work in 35 countries. Klaudia has 20 years of experience in the field of consulting and education in sustainable development and works with strategic sustainability in Ramboll Management Consulting, Stockholm office. She manages and coordinates complex multi-stakeholders’ projects, supports international organizations, Swedish and Ukrainian companies, institutions and municipalities in the development of sustainability policies, strategies and reports.

Модуль 4. Sustainable Investing – October, 4 (16.00 – 18.00)
(the module will be conducted in English without translation)
Trainer: James Purcell is the Group Head of Sustainable Frameworks at Credit Suisse and the co-author of “Sustainable Investing in Practice” (Kogan Page, 2023), a practitioner guide to navigating the realities of ESG investing. At Credit Suisse, he and his team coordinate the firm’s approach to sustainable investing and lending. He is simultaneously employed by ESCP Business School, where he runs a course on Sustainable Finance.
- Explore the realities of sustainable investing – what is working and where challenges remain
- Topics to be explored in the session start with “What is sustainable investing?” and then moves through “Data and ESG ratings” to also cover a number of asset classes and commercial considerations
- The course material draws upon an established university-level course at renowned French business school ESCP as well as a popular Sustainable Investing book, published by the trainer
Module 5. Economic empowerment of women and gender inclusion in business – October, 11 (16:00 – 18:00)
Trainer: Darya Nagaivska, Private Partnership Specialist, UN Women Project
- gender balance in the workplace, in supply chains and in communities,
- best practices of private companies in the economic empowerment of women,
- signing and implementing the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs),
