Yesterday, at the meeting of the EBA members and representatives of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsya , Acting Chairman of the Management Board Yevgeniy Kravtsov informed about the positive decision not to close grain railway stations submitted by the EBA Logistics Committee from the list of 177 stations, offered by the PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsya”. It is an important solution for business community because EBA experts, after establishing a working group on the basis of the EBA together with PJSC Ukrzaliznytsya made several stages of discussion and carried out a corresponding analysis of all ineffective railway stations and provided PJSC Ukrzaliznytsya with a list of stations that should continue operating and stations that should improve their effectiveness. EBA Logistics Committee experts emphasized on the importance of the decision of the PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsya” not to close all the proposed 177 grain stations and on that the stations provided by the EBA to continue executing their activity. During the dialogue, it was also repeatedly emphasized that the Committee is ready to provide support and recommendations for improving the performance of the enterprise, for example, to increase attention to the mechanism of the creation of the combined routes that consolidate the cargo of different freight forwarders at the railway station. In addition, the provision of traction (locomotives) and railway wagons by the schedule for the formation of such routes can significantly improve the efficiency and ability of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsya to meet the needs of the transportation market. We thank our member companies for their active position and support of the Logistics Committee initiative and we thank PJSC Ukrzaliznytsya for an open partnership dialogue and work on the implementation of effective methods for improving the strategic enterprise!
