ConcordBank provided UAH 62 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine

28/ 09/ 2022
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, ConcordBank has provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with equipment worth more than UAH 62 million, which is very valuable for the front line. ConcordBank donates half of its profits every month to support the Ukrainian army. The funds are sent to the special account of the NBU, the DobroDii Charity Exchange, the League of Banks Charity Fund and other foundations. “For six months, all our efforts are aimed at maintaining the stable operation of the business and, thanks to this, at supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We believe in our country, we believe in victory, and it is our duty to do our best”, — commented Olena Sosiedka, head of the supervisory board of ConcordBank, co-founder of Concord Fintech Solutions and the DobroDii Charity Exchange. The lions share of ConcordBanks funds was sent to the DobroDii Charity Exchange, and 2 drones, 32 quadcopters, dozens of thermal imagers, radio stations, sets of active headphones, medical equipment for military and field medical staff, as well as equipment for soldiers worth a total of UAH 42.6 million were purchased. DobroDii Charity Exchange is part of the open fintech ecosystem Concord Fintech Solutions, the founders of which are Olena and Yuliia Sosiedka, has been operating for more than 8 years, and during this time has implemented more than 13 thousand projects, providing charitable assistance to seriously sick children, medical institutions, in support of social and cultural initiatives - the total amount of aid is UAH 93.7 million. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion into Ukraine, the main part of the aid has been directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “8 years ago we started the DobroDii Charity Exchange to help sick children and those in need. But on February 24, the world changed dramatically, and since then the lions share of funds has been directed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The last few months have shown that we are all much closer than we used to think. Philanthropy, which used to be about helping children and adults get treatment, is now about protecting our land and right to live”, — Yuliia Sosiedka, co-founder of the DobroDii Charity Exchange and Concord Fintech Solutions, member of the supervisory board of ConcordBank, told about the changes. The other day ConcordBank received a commendation for its contribution to the defense of Ukraine from the army and military administration of the Dnipropetrovsk region: “The war united Ukrainians around one goal: our victory. Everyone became a volunteer. Large companies also help the army. Thanks to all who do this noble work”, — said the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration Valentyn Reznichenko. At the same time, unfortunately, today there are pseudo-patriots-fraudsters who profit from the aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and ConcordBank helps to block their activities. Thus, Olena Sosedkai says in her telegram channel that the bank stopped the scheme of fraudsters who allegedly collected funds for the troops by blocking the account and responsibly took all necessary steps to assist the investigation of law enforcement agencies. DobroDii Charity Exchange was founded by sisters Yuliia and Olena Sosiedka on August 1, 2014 in Dnipro. In 2018, DobroDii was among the top three best charitable organizations in Ukraine and received a diploma of the National Competition Charitable Ukraine-2018. In 2020 DobroDii received 2 prizes in the National Competition Charitable Ukraine-2020, 2nd place in the category Platform for good, and the head of the exchange Lolita Kuzina was among the three best managers in the field of charity. Concord Fintech Solutions is the first open fintech ecosystem in Ukraine, the single infrastructure of which is formed by ConcordBank, ProCard independent processing center, ConcordPay payment service, MustPay IT company and DobroDii Charity Exchange.
