MOH State Expert Center “Visualization” system for clinical trials: online training for applicants on the EBA platform

24/ 04/ 2020
On April 15, 2020, an online training was organized for the EBA Clinical Trials Subcommittee with the participation of Liudmyla Kovtun, Deputy Director of the State Expert Center (SEC) of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and leading technical experts of the SEC. More than 50 representatives from the Clinical Trials Subcommittee member companies participated in the online training. The training was focused on the possibilities of the SEC Visualization system for the applicants, who submit the materials of clinical trials and substantive amendments (hereinafter - CT / SA) to the SEC for examination. Practical recommendations on the use of the system were also provided. The participants found the training relevant and useful, as it was the opportunity for them to get detailed explanations about the work with the Visualization system directly from specialists of the technical department of the SEC and to get answers to emerging questions. The representatives of the Clinical Trials Subcommittee also participated in a workshop on the use of the Visualization system. During the training, the participants raised the issues on complications in monitoring the examination status of the CT / SA submitted by the applicants, the ways to avoid those complications, providing assistance from the SEC technical center to solve them. The SEC representatives emphasized the need for the right spelling and unification of the name of the applicant company and the contact information of the applicants representative in order to display the information in the “Visualization” system in a timely and accurate manner.  In addition, the SEC representatives shared plans on launching the Telegram bot to send notifications on CT / SA in a convenient way. To start using this tool, it is required to enter each applicants contact information, including the email address and telephone number. With entering and verifying contact information of 70% CT / SA applicants who have personal cabinets in the “Visualization” system, it would be possible to launch the Telegram bot to send urgent messages on CT / SA to the applicants. Accordingly, the EBA Clinical Trials Subcommittee appeals to all CT / SA applicants to add their contact details to the “Visualization” System as soon as possible in order to start the use of new services. The European Business Association thanks the SEC management and its leading experts for providing useful information and continuing the dialogue with EBA member companies.
