EBA Kharkiv Expanded Coordination Council Meeting

  Opportunities and benefits of the public and private partnership in the field of Seized Assets Management were discussed at the Expanded Coordination Council Meeting with representatives of the North-Eastern Interregional Territorial Administration, the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection and Assets Management of Corruption and Other Crime (abbreviated - AIMA, Agency for Investigation and Management of Assets). The guests of the meeting were Dmytro Zhoravovych, the Head of the AIMA Territorial Administration, and Tamozhanskiy Oleksiy, the Head of the Assets Detection and Tracing Sector of the Administration. The key issues on the agenda were: • realities and prospects for development of the Seized Property Management Services market; • new business opportunities on the Seized Property Management Services market; • partnership between local/national businesses and the State Authorities represented by the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Investigation and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes. Also discussed were real study cases and results of AIMA’s activities. The Agency’s representatives noted that they are open to dialogue and fruitful cooperation with potentially interested businesses. Mr Zhoravovych emphasized that the seized assets will be more beneficial to society if the entrepreneurs are aware of such opportunities and the requirements for their management.
