Polpharma transferred five medical vehicles to the doctors in Mykolaiv: how socially responsible business helps to accelerate Victory

  Mykolaiv received five medical vehicles, equipped with special medical equipment, from Polpharma, which collected 3.7 million uah for medical vehicles, prematurely completing the All-Ukrainian project Support yourself — support Ukraine, which started 6 weeks ago. The company automatically transferred 50% of the sale of each package of the vitamin Olidetrim 2000 to the purchase of special medical transport - resuscitation vehicles. Anyone could join the initiative by purchasing the Polish-made vitamin D3 Olidetrim 2000 at a pharmacy in their city. During this period, 27,872 packages of the vitamin were sold. Five specialized medical vehicles were purchased in Europe and quickly transferred to the doctors in hospital №5 in Mykolaiv. The choice of the city was not accidental, because Mykolaiv is in the front-line zone, so the need for such vehicles is very high. All those medical vehicles have undergone expert evaluation and technical inspection and are additionally equipped with special equipment: defibrillators, ventilators, patient monitors — everything necessary for providing emergency care. As the head of the Mykolaiv regional military-civilian administration, Vitaly Kim said: Medical vehicles are the citys most urgent need now because cars are constantly breaking down and getting lost. Thousands of doctors are working now in the hottest spots of the country, where the need for rescue vehicles is currently the greatest. Olena Terentyeva, the director of the hospital №5 notes that the car fleet of the medical institution has not been updated for the past dozen years, and the cars there are vital.  «The need to transport patients who are in an arduous or critical condition arises now often because of the specifics of the institution and the challenges of today. Rapid transportation of a patient saves lives, as it is carried out with the aim of transporting him to a place where he can receive specialized care. The main thing is the possibility of continuing treatment measures and full resuscitation in the salon», — she pays attention on. Medical vehicles are an essential component of medical care. At the same time, according to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, over the past 6 months, about 90 emergency medical vehicles have been disabled, and another 241 have been lost.
