Antoshka Donates Over UAH 1.5 Million to Support Medical Needs of Children of Heroes CF Beneficiaries

03/ 07/ 2025
On November 15, 2024, the Children of Heroes Charity Fund joined forces with the Antoshka retail chain to support children who have lost their parents as a result of the war. Our goal is not only to provide assistance, but also to help these children regain a sense of safety, care, and the opportunity to grow and thrive despite their loss and pain. Over the course of five months of partnership, the Antoshka retail chain donated more than UAH 1.5 million to support the medical needs of children under the care of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund. These funds made it possible to fully cover 135 individual medical cases. The funding was distributed monthly from December through May, ensuring consistent and stable support. The allocated funds covered a wide range of medical needs—from the purchase of medications and diagnostic tools to long-term rehabilitation programs and personalized medical equipment. The most frequent cases involved neurological conditions (such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, and developmental delays), vision impairments, dental care, endocrine disorders (including Type 1 diabetes), chronic illnesses (such as cystic fibrosis, asthma, and hepatitis), orthopedic conditions, and genetic or congenital disorders. Funding also supported treatment for seasonal illnesses, vaccinations, allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT), and psycho-emotional care for children with behavioral or psychiatric disorders. For many families facing severe financial hardship, this support is truly life-changing, enabling them to access the treatment and care their children urgently need. The mother of 6-year-old Irynka, who received assistance through the program, shared her gratitude: “We are incredibly, deeply thankful to the Children of Heroes Charity Fund and Antoshka for providing my daughter Irynka (6 years old) with an insulin pump and related accessories. For our family, it’s something extraordinary — to be able to afford such an expensive device that improves all health indicators for Type 1 Diabetes, allows for less painful insulin injections, and helps regulate blood sugar levels. We’re especially grateful for the opportunity to install the pump for our daughter — a child who has already endured so much stress due to the war, lost her father, and lives constantly under threat of shelling in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region. We never expected such a gift — we were brought to tears when we learned that funding had been allocated to help us. Thank you, Antoshka, for standing with our family and supporting my little girl.” This partnership stands as a powerful example of how businesses can become drivers of lasting change. When social responsibility becomes part of a company’s mission, it creates space for genuine care and meaningful impact. Together with the Antoshka retail chain, we were able not only to address the urgent medical needs of our beneficiaries but also to offer them a sense of safety and support during an incredibly challenging time. However, the current need for medical services and psychological support from the Children of Heroes CF remains immense. Thousands of young lives are under our Funds care, critically needing treatment, rehabilitation, and professional psychological help to overcome the consequences of war and the trauma of loss. Their future and ability to recover depend on our collective compassion.
