The future of HR: what do companies need to prepare for?

  New conditions and the expansion of remote staff have led to a complete rethinking of the role of HR in the company. On December 9, 2021, during the EBA Odesa HR Hub Online-meeting, we talked about the future of HR and what companies should prepare for? Speaker Marina Stiahailo, CEO of ‘’Akkerman Solutions Software & Engineering’’, spoke about the development and examples of successful HR strategies, the importance of building corporate culture in companies, how to measure efficiency and employee satisfaction, how to spot and prevent employee burnout, including those who work remotely, and shared tips on automating HR processes, etc. In particular, follow these steps: development of a corporate competency model or analysis of existing ones; measuring the compliance of current competencies of employees; evaluation of all candidates according to the adopted system of competencies at the stage of selection for the company; competencies are quite dynamic and amenable to development, so you need to constantly update data on employees; bringing feedback on the results of the assessment to management. After all HR-manager helps the manager to create a corporate culture in the company, is engaged in improving the efficiency and involvement of employees, retaining key specialists, development of internal and external HR-brand of the company. Thus, the pandemic quickly changed the daily lives of people, businesses and organizations. However, almost any crisis opens the door to new opportunities and areas that will develop in the future. The positive effects of this latest crisis are digitalisation, increased readiness for change, more active discussion of values and increased trust in HR. Now all these factors are more important than ever. Also at the end of the meeting, the results of the re-election of the EBA Odesa Committee Heads for 2022 were announced. We thank the moderator of the meeting and the Head of the HR HUB in 2021 Natalia Vusyk for her personal contribution to the development of the Committee! And we are glad to announce and ask to congratulate the New Head for 2022 - Marina Stiahailo.
