    International healthcare and agriculture company Bayer continues to do business in Ukraine, paying stable salaries and additional financial support to its Ukrainian employees, and paying taxes to the state budget. Bayer is continuing to contribute to medical and food security of Ukraine, providing for the needs of the country inthese difficult times. The company is registering modern medicines in Ukraine which will help in providing quality medical care for patients, and new crop protection products which will allow to ensure stability of agricultural production in Ukraine in the future. Bayer maintains its investments in Ukraine for 2023 and plans for the full volume production of medicines, maize seeds and crop protection products intended for Ukraine for 2023. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion to Ukraine, Bayer supports the people of the country, providingcharitable help for around 10 million euros. Already in the first days of this war, the company has allocated 3 millioneuros for the support of Ukrainians, as well as provided urgent humanitarian assistance of around 30,000 doses ofantibiotics and 1 tonne of sterile medical items upon request from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Later, several charities and healthcare establishments received medicines and vitamins, clothes, towels, power banks, and money to purchase basic hygiene items and food products. Upon request from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, over 1250 small-scale farmers in 17 regions ofUkraine received around 26 thousand bags of maize seeds from Bayer – this will allow them to plant around 30 thousand hectares of fields. Beside this, Bayer employees from around the world expressed their solidarity with Ukraine by donating over 1 millioneuros to help the country. Employees in the European countries supported by the company are providing housing for colleagues from Ukraine and their families forced to move abroad and are organizing local volunteer campaigns to help Ukrainian refugees. More than 30 Ukrainian employees of Bayer are currently protecting the country in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.Colleagues are giving their considerable contributions and support to them and their military units.
