Іntegration in Supply Chain with European Smelters is a Priority of Avellana Gold’s Production Strategy

29/ 09/ 2023
The managers of our Company held a workshop meeting with the Trade manager of the Representative office of the EU in Ukraine Mr. Nicola Sibona. We demonstrated our production capacity and presented to Nicola Sibona our latest technological solutions which we had successfully implemented at our new factory, in particular in processing and waste management. We also declared our plans and goals for underground mining restoration. During the meeting we assigned to the following questions: ▪️problems that we face while attempting to enter the European market with our new metal concentrates, and prevailing dominance of Chinese off-taker. ▪️the absence of technological bases for high-quality laboratory analysis and in-house technological research in Ukraine; ▪️baseless difficulties and delays in passing customs inspections, that make it impossible to cooperate with European metallurgical enterprises; ▪️shortage of necessary tools for the project financing in Ukraine and prospects of further dialogue with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) ▪️critical necessity to spread out tools of military risk insurance (from MIGA and DFC) on the mining sector. In the course of a constructive discussion, we agreed to continue our dialogue. Avellana gold will continue to make maximum efforts for its practical involvement in production chains with European companies within the strategic initiative of Critical Raw Materials (CRM) for the European Union.
