The EBA welcomes the updating of the List of national standards to confirm compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations on Electromagnetic Compatibility The EBA has repeatedly stressed the need to harmonize national standards to confirm compliance with certain technical regulations in accordance with European Union standards. Such harmonization simplifies the conformity assessment procedure and trade barriers as it is a necessary precondition for the signing of the ACAA Agreement on the so-called industrial visa-free regime with the EU. Therefore, in June, the EBA Consumer Electronics Committee sent the official letter to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine with a request to extend the duration of the national standard DSTU EN 55103-2: 2014 to confirm compliance of household appliances and electronics with the requirements of the Technical Regulations on Electromagnetic Compatibility in accordance with the changes that were adopted to the similar list of standards in the EU by the Decision of the European Commission 2021/455 of March 15, 2021. We are grateful to the Ministry for adopting and publishing Order №605 of September 23, 2021 On amendments to the list of national standards for the application of the Technical Regulation on electromagnetic compatibility, which, among other changes, extended the application of DSTU EN 55103 -2: 2014 in Ukraine until July 28, 2022. If you need additional information, please contact [email protected], Senior Manager of EBA Consumer Electronics, Regulatory Affairs Committees.
