The European Business Association welcomes the improvement of legislation in the field of technical protection of information The EBA welcomes the adoption of the Order of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSC&IP) №483 of August 19, 2020, on the organization and conduction of the state expertise in the field of technical protection of information (TPI). This Order №483 aims to reduce paperwork and simplify the procedure of state examination in the field of TPI. The EBA Consumer Electronics Committee (Committee) joined the work on the draft Order, in particular, submitted proposals to Section V of the Order on the peculiarities of examinations of TPI. The EBA Committee experts drew the attention of the SSSC&IP to the fact that the draft version of the Order proposed in September 2019 actually made it impossible to conduct state expertise for the TPI product line or product series, which could significantly increase the cost of such expertise and make it impossible to supply to Ukraine certain equipment. The production of certain equipment in the field of TPI is carried out under a specific order, and few customers are willing to wait 6 months after the tender until the manufacturer receives a conclusion of the state examination. Therefore, the EBA Committee experts prepared an official position and held a series of consultations with representatives of the SSSC&IP in order to avoid complicating the conditions of the state examination in the field of TPI. The European Business Association is grateful to the SSSC&IP for taking into account the proposals from the business community and looks forward to further constructive cooperation. If you need additional information, please contact [email protected], Manager of the EBA Consumer Electronics Committee.
