  In the framework of the AutomotiveCommittee meeting, was held meeting with assistants of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Gorvat R.I. Oleksandr Onischuk and Vadym Malyshchuk to discuss issue on strengthenin gthe state control over the procedures for importation into Ukraine of motor vehicles under conditions “transit” and “temporary import” customs regimes, as well as stimulating development of electric vehicles market. Participants discussed legislative initiatives on necessity to regulate issue on cars in foreign registration and introduction of more strict measures of control on motor vehicles under conditions “transit” and “temporary import” customs regimes. During the meeting, business representatives stressed on theneed to control import of vehicles in foreign registration and prevention its circulation without proper customs clearance, which, in turn, would contribute to the filling of the State Budget of Ukraine. In addition, participants of the meeting exchanged their points of view as for the Draft Law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine for cheapening and availability increasing of individual electric vehicles for Ukrainian Population» (Reg. No. 7156 of October 3, 2017), which provides VAT cancellation on electric cars duringclearance, exemption from VAT forcommercial vehiclesand abolition of excise tax on electric cars in Ukraine, and the Draft Law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Laws of Ukraine”(onreduction of atmospheric emissions by stimulating demand for environmental vehicles and supporting development of infrastructure for them)” (Reg. No. 7177 of October 5, 2017). Business representatives expressed their readiness to make appropriate changes in legislation aimed atdevelopment of electric motor vehicles market and support of infrastructure development. We are grateful to the People’s Deputy’s assistants for their support in considerationthe above-mentioned problematic issues and look forward to further constructive cooperation.
