Meeting with the Business Ombudsman Council: dialogue on business protection and recovery 🤝

  The EBA Western Ukrainian Office met with the Business Ombudsman Council team to discuss current issues of business protection and economic recovery. The BOC was represented by Business Ombudsman Roman Vashchuk, his deputies Tetyana Korotka and Yulia Andrusiv. Business representatives from the western region of Ukraine also joined the event. During the meeting, Roman Vashchuk presented the BOCs tools for protecting businesses from unlawful actions of state authorities and presented the draft Declaration of Fair Administration. Particular attention was paid to the principle of consultation first, which allows businesses to receive explanations of administrative decisions before they are made. During the discussion, business representatives raised issues related to interaction with local authorities, regulatory changes, tax and customs administration. Particular attention was paid to the need for stability in regulatory policy and transparency of administrative procedures. Tetyana Korotka presented the BOCs new Policy and Recovery team, which focuses on supporting the private sector in Ukraines recovery and creating a transparent environment for investment. Anton Podilchak, Chairman of the BOC Coordination Council, stressed the importance of joining forces to build a systematic dialogue between business and government for the sake of economic development of both the region and the country!
