Meetings between representatives of the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association and the leadership of the Ternopil Customs Office and the business community

Business does not need more complicated procedures. It needs clearer interaction with the state. This was the key focus of the working meeting between representatives of the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association, the management of Ternopil Customs, and business representatives. The discussion focused on practical aspects of foreign economic activity, customs clearance, communication between companies and customs authorities, and solutions that help businesses operate faster, more clearly, and more predictably. Yuriy Matsibora, Head of Ternopil Customs, emphasized that open dialogue with business allows customs authorities to better understand the real needs of companies, respond more quickly to operational issues, and build effective cooperation in the field of foreign economic activity. Roman Meleshko, Head of Foreign Economic Activity at Robert Bosch Production Ukraine, shared the company’s interest in carrying out customs clearance of its goods within the area of responsibility of Ternopil Customs. The participants discussed work organization, communication during customs clearance, and practical steps for resolving operational issues efficiently. A separate focus of the discussion was placed on simplifications provided under the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure, as well as the benefits of the Authorized Economic Operator status, AEO. For business, this is not just a formal status. It is about simplified customs procedures, a higher level of trust from customs authorities, including foreign customs administrations, and more predictable conditions for operational work. Mariana Lutsyshyn, Head of the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association, noted that such meetings are part of the Association’s systematic work to support business in the region. Continuous communication between business and public authorities helps not only to resolve individual issues, but also to shape an environment where companies better understand the rules of the game and can plan their activities. We thank Ternopil Customs for its openness to dialogue and readiness for constructive cooperation. Because a strong economy begins not only with companies that keep working, but also with institutions that are ready to listen to business and look for solutions together.
