22/ 01/ 2025
On January 21, the EBAs Committee on Lobbying and Transparent Policies met with representatives of the Pro-Integrity Project, which actively collaborates with the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) on the launch of the Transparency Register and the implementation of the Law on Lobbying. Participants discussed potential cooperation formats, including the need for market representatives in lobbying to test the Transparency Register, technical aspects to be considered during its launch, and issues requiring clarification from the NACP before the Law on Lobbying takes effect on September 1 this year. Representatives of the Lobbying Committee also emphasized the urgency of adopting amendments to the Law on Lobbying, developed last year by a working group under the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy. They further highlighted the importance of conducting educational campaigns to explain the new legislative norms and encourage lobbying entities to register in the Transparency Register.
