Meeting with the leadership of the Galician Customs of the State Customs Service

The EBA Western Ukrainian office continues active communication with the leadership of the Galician Customs of the State Customs Service. Thus, the working meeting with Andriy Kolobrodov – the Acting head of the Galician customs of the State Customs Service was held on April, 20. At the meeting we discussed the following: fulfillment of high indicators by the Galician Customs of the State Customs Service during January - March 2021. Thus, almost 7.4 billion UAH of customs payments. was transferred to the state budget during this period. The planned indicators were fulfilled by 100.6%; testing of customs officials in order to identify their level of professionalism and reliability for further transfer to a contractual framework within a single legal entity; the issues of increasing the efficiency of customs work; the information exchange about the availability of imported goods on the domestic market, which are sold at a price lower than economically justified as a counteraction to gray imports; the specifics of the tooling operations; the creation of service areas at checkpoints for carriers. Also, the participants discussed the possible way for further cooperation in order to decrease arising issues in the field of import/export activity by entities of this activity.
