Advocacy achievements of the week

10/ 12/ 2021
This week brought three good news to the European Business Association community. We have been waiting for one of them for almost two years and it concerns the animal health industry. The other two relate to changes in electronic payments. The procedure for re-registration of coccidiostats has been completed The re-registration procedure for coccidiostats, which has been ongoing since 2019, has finally been completed. Prolonged blocking of the procedure led to the complete suspension of the production and import of this type of therapeutic feed additives in Ukraine, May 2021. The EBA experts began work on this issue in November 2020. It should be noted that coccidiostats are widely used in poultry and pig production to prevent coccidiosis. Without their use, the mortality rate of farm animals can reach 80-90%. Therefore, we are glad that the re-registration procedure has been unblocked and the provision of this important type of additives will be resumed on Monday. The data obtained through the BankID can be used by the bank to form a credit case At the initiative of the EBA Electronic Payments Committee, amendments were made to NBU Board Resolution № 351 “On Approval of the Regulation on Determining the Amount of Credit Risk by Active Banking Banks in Active Banking Transactions”. Thus, they provide banks with the possibility to use data obtained through the BankID system for the formation of credit documentation (cases). Diia Passport can be used to identify the customer at the bank Also at the initiative of the EBA Electronic Payments Committee, amendments were made to the Regulations on conducting cash transactions in national currency in Ukraine. Thus, they introduce the possibility of using the Unified State Web Portal of electronic services and mobile application Diia for cash transactions. The European Business Association would like to thank all the authorities involved for taking these positive decisions!
