Introduction of mandatory registration and use of electronic offices for participation in court proceedings

17/ 01/ 2023
Author: Victoria Doskovska, Attorney at Dynasty Law & Investment In November 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading the draft Law on the mandatory registration and use of electronic offices in the Unified Judicial Information and Telecommunication System (EUITS) by certain categories of persons. The draft law stipulates that within 30 days from the date of publication of this Law, the following persons are required to register their own electronic offices in EUITS: ✅ representatives of legal professions; ✅ judicial experts; ✅ state bodies; ✅ local self-government bodies; ✅ all other legal entities. Within 4 months from the date of publication of this Law, natural persons-entrepreneurs are also required to register their own electronic offices in EUITS. The electronic office in EUITS is a special web service, with the help of which you can receive information and exchange documents between the participants in the legal process and the court. Access to such an office is granted to persons who have passed electronic identification. Taking into account todays tendency to minimize information exchange activities and reduce them mainly to online mode, it is predicted that this Law will be adopted in the near future. Since this Law applies to all legal entities and individual entrepreneurs without exception, we advise you to take care of registering an electronic account in advance. With the passing of the Law, only the presence of a registered electronic cabinet will guarantee awareness of all legal proceedings involving your business, in particular, those directed against you. And Dynasty Law & Investment specialists will help you deal with all the intricacies of such registration and further use of the electronic account.
