European culture from the perspective of the Italian Baroque – IV Italia Festival Barocco sponsored by GOLAW
This fall Kiev, Lviv, Mariupol, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv and Odesa enjoy Italian Baroque music. Traditionally GOLAW contributes to the holding of the IV Italia Festival Barocco 2017 in Ukraine.
The festival was opened by Kyiv Chamber Orchestra under the conduction of Maestro Alfredo Bernardini. The program included composition of A. Vivaldi, A. Marcello, F. Veracini, T. Albinoni and other composers. The closing of the festival will take place on third of October in Kyiv. Maestro Ottavio Dantone together with ensemble Accademia Bizantina will present music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Connection of Ukrainians to European culture is very imported for GOLAW. Italian Baroque music was popular in Europe in XVII–XVIII century. Up to this day it still sounds in the best concert halls of the Old World. It is nice that people of the largest Ukrainian cities will be able to enjoy high-quality music played by Ukrainian and Italian musicians.
