  Author: Oleksandr Chornukha, Attorney at Dynasty Law & Investment On August 2, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a Resolution on affordable mortgage lending for citizens of Ukraine. ✅ Who can get this mortgage loan? ➡️ Employees of medical institutions; ➡️ Employees of educational institutions (teachers); ➡️ Scientists and scientific and pedagogical staff; ➡️ Military under contract, SBU, Intelligence, National Guard, Border Guards, and others; 🛑 From January 1, 2023, this list will expand, the following categories will be added: ➡️ Internally displaced persons; ➡️ Citizens of Ukraine who own residential real estate of less than 52.5 square meters per person + 21 square meters per family member; ➡️ War veterans or their family; persons who participated in hostilities; persons who became disabled during the war or their relatives; family members of deceased war veterans. 🔷 The person must also meet the following features: ✅ Citizen of Ukraine; ✅ Age - 18 years old; ✅ Financial basis (ability of the person or the guarantor to repay the mortgage loan in the parts specified in the contract); ✅ A person or family members must not have similar contracts (mortgage lending); ✅ Must have a living space of no more than 52.5 square meters per person + 21 square meters per family member, but this does not apply to housing located in temporarily occupied territory or in the area of hostilities. 📌 Research has shown that with a 3% mortgage for 20 years and with a minimum down payment of 20%, a person without a wife/husband and children can count on a renovated 1-2 room apartment on the secondary market in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipro.
