Therefore, employers will be able to receive information about their employees sick notes through a personal e-account on the Pension Fund’s web portal. The European Business Association welcomes the digitalization of sick notes in Ukraine. This is an important step towards the digitalization of health services, as well as the interaction of government and business in this area. We thank the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Transformation for a constructive dialogue on this issue. At the same time, we hope for further active cooperation in improving the system and facilitating its administration for business. This week, the Ministry of Finance clarified that from October 1, 2021, businesses will not be subject to penalties for issuing a fiscal check without specifying the digital value of the excise stamp’s barcode, as there are currently no legal grounds for this. Besides, the State Tax Service provided answers to a range of practical questions from businesses related to the display of excise stamp data for alcoholic beverages in the fiscal check. Business met with the Minister of Internal Affairs This week, representatives of the European Business Association had a working meeting with Denys Monastyrskyi, Minister of the Interior Affairs. During the meeting, the business voiced problematic issues related to the inefficient work of law enforcement agencies. Thus, a relevant Telegram Chat was created for the business community to be able to promptly inform the Ministry of Internal Affairs about existing problems. So, hopefully, the voice of business will be heard on an ongoing basis. Business met with the Head of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine This week, the European Business Association held a working meeting with Vadym Melnyk, Head of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. Earlier, the EBA focused on the list of priorities for BES and its head in the context of effective interaction with business.
