EU requirements and standards – training webinars for business in 2024

15/ 01/ 2024
A new stage in EU-Ukraine relations began in 2022. Ukraine received the status of a candidate for accession, which has already impacted the materialization of the prospects of joining the European community, helped accelerate key reforms, and sent a positive signal to European and global investors. During this period, the share of Ukrainian exports to the EU amounted to 63%, which is a record high. At the same time, despite significant trade restrictions, in the first half of 2023, exports to the EU amounted to $12.1 billion, which is 62% of total exports. Currently, the agenda includes the adaptation of national legislation to the European legal space, deepening the integration of Ukrainian business into EU markets, the practical introduction of visa-free travel in various areas, further sectoral integration, etc. That is why the European Business Association considers it its duty to help businesses improve their knowledge of the EU regulatory environment. Thus, in 2024, the EBA plans to hold a series of educational events on current and expected EU regulatory requirements that will affect Ukrainian business. In particular, these include environmental and sustainable development standards, energy issues, sectoral technical regulations, and other important EU regulations, requirements, and standards. The project Improving the knowledge of Ukrainian business on EU requirements and standards is organized and implemented with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation and the European Union within the framework of the joint initiative European Renaissance of Ukraine. The first event in the series will take place on January 18 at 10:00 and will be devoted to discussing the practical aspects of the application of the Technical Regulation on Cosmetic Products, which will come into force in August 2024. The participants of the meeting will be able to discuss the entry into force of the technical regulation and control over the implementation of its requirements, the obligations of business entities, requirements for documentation, labeling, etc. For more information and registration for the event on January 18, please follow the link: https://eba.com.ua/en/event/zustrich-regulyatornogo-komitetu-yeba-shhodo-tehnichnogo-reglamentu-na-kosmetychnu-produktsiyu-2024-01-11-13-46/
