An interactive meeting of the EBA Legal Committee was held in Odesa in a film club format

24/ 04/ 2026
On April 23, the Southern Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association held an offline meeting of its Legal Committee in Odesa, introducing a new and more interactive format — the Legal Committee Film Club. This initiative marks a fresh approach to committee activities, combining professional discussion with the exploration of legal issues through cinema. The event was  organized in partnership with Interlegal and the Odesa Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Bar Association, and took place at the Interlegal office. Participants gathered to watch the well-known courtroom drama “A Few Good Men.” The film centers on a military trial investigating the death of a soldier and raises complex questions about justice within a strict chain of command. It explores themes such as accountability for following orders, the role of honor, and the fine line between professional duty and personal conscience. Following the screening, participants engaged in a moderated discussion, reflecting on the legal and ethical dilemmas presented in the film, drawing parallels with real-life legal practice, and sharing their professional perspectives. The discussion was moderated by Diana, a representative of the Ukrainian Bar Association, who guided the conversation and helped structure the exchange. The meeting took place in an open and dynamic atmosphere, fostering both meaningful dialogue and informal networking among members of the legal community. The Film Club format was well received by participants and demonstrated strong potential as an engaging platform for professional interaction within the EBA Odesa Legal Committee.
