New Leadership Team Elected in the Business Security and Protection Committee

  We are pleased to announce the results of the election for the new leadership of the European Business Association’s Business Security and Protection Committee. Following the vote, Orest Stasiuk, Advisor in Criminal Law and Compliance at Asters, was elected as the Committee Chair. Orest brings 15 years of experience in criminal law, internal investigations, anti-corruption compliance, and cross-border criminal cases. Orest Stasiuk. My goal is to make the Committee as valuable as possible for EBA members, develop a clear action plan on current topics, and ensure that the EBA′s voice is both visible and influential among stakeholders on business security issues in Ukraine. Danylo Hloba, Deputy Director of Legal Affairs at YouControl, was appointed to lead the newly established Data Protection stream. Danylo has been working in data protection for seven years, promoting a balanced approach between privacy and transparency. His advocacy efforts aim to harmonize these aspects in todays realities. Finding a balance between data protection, transparency, and accountability requires thorough preparation and the involvement of a broad range of stakeholders. I will make every effort to collaborate closely and address the pressing issues that require our attention. The Business Security and Protection Committee was established in 2022 in response to the growing relevance of security concerns for businesses. Its goal is to unite security professionals, legal experts, compliance officers, and other key stakeholders to exchange experience in providing comprehensive security support to businesses. Key objectives of the Committee include engaging with law enforcement and government bodies on business security rights and interests, forming expert opinions on security issues, and promoting a culture of security among businesses and investors based on international best practices, industry standards, and global certification.
