Ukrainian Foxtrot and Polish MediaExpert donated 150 tablets for the children of prisoners and fallen defenders

16/ 10/ 2023
The initiators of the assistance were the international group of national retail companies Euronics Group and its only Ukrainian member - the omnichannel retailer Foxtrot. On October 12, in Kyiv, tablets were handed over to the Charity Fund Ukrainian Foundation Mriya, which was founded by paramedic and volunteer Yulia Paevska (Taira). The fund takes care of the families of dead, captured and missing Ukrainian defenders, and, in particular, helps their children. Due to the full-scale invasion of the aggressor, a large part of Ukrainian schools continues to work exclusively in the online mode, and for this format of education, children need tablets and laptops. The Foxtrot network and its Polish partner - the largest electronics network in Poland, MediaExpert, responded to this need. They allocated humanitarian aid in the form of 150 tablets for children under the care of the foundation. Education and culture form a nation, and that is why the enemy seeks to destroy everything Ukrainian: books, textbooks, flags, embroidered shirts. Our task is to protect our own, to give children the opportunity to study and to carry on the ray of education so that our nation continues its development. In order for this not to happen, we must not forget who we are. And today we are happy to note that our mission, our contribution to the education of young Ukrainians is shared by a responsible Ukrainian business and foreign donors with a difficult fate, noted the famous paramedic, founder of the Tairas Angels unit, social activist Yulia Paevska (Taira). The fund said that over the past 3 months, Dream volunteers, with the support of partners, including the Foxtrot network, met the needs of more than 1,600 families (more than 2,300 children), but the number of applications is growing every day. Therefore, another tranche of assistance from Ukrainian Foxtrot and Polish MediaExpert as members of Euronics Group is very timely. - Such a strategic vision of the future of Ukraine, which Taira subtly feels, gathers like-minded people around him and is a solid foundation for building a strong and educated nation, - commented on the partnership Oleksiy Zozulya, CEO of the Foxtrot network. - After all, our victory is forged on the battlefield, and the peaceful future of Ukraine will be implemented by those who study in schools and institutes today. This is why our partnership with the Taira Foundation and the support from the global retailer community - the Euronics group - are valuable. It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Euronics Group has condemned acts of war and aggression on the part of Russia. In March 2022, on the initiative of Foxtrot, as the only Ukrainian retailer – a member of the Euronics international group, European retailers donated 691,888 euros for humanitarian and psychosocial assistance to Ukrainians. Cooperation of the Foxtrot network with the Ukrainian Foundation Mriya began in the spring of 2023. At the request of the head of the foundation, Yulia Paevska (Tyra), the retailer and the Mriya foundation donated 25 tablets, 10 laptops, computer mice and desk lamps to the children of prisoners of war, who need it most now. Humanitarian transportation of aid was carried out free of charge by Nova Poshta Humanitarian. Mria partners include Doc4Ukraine, Euroniсs (Media Expert), Foxtrot, Bosch, Stepic CEE Charity, Nova Ukraine, Lenovo Ukraine, Philips, Rozetka, Oral-B. Thanks to their support, it was possible to attract 640 pieces of equipment for the needs of the funds wards.
