Why Ukrainians need Electrocars

More and more countries are moving or going to move to more environmentally friendly forms of energy. France intends to completely abandon gasoline and diesel cars by 2040. Indeed, electric cars are an ecological type of personal transport, because they are safe for the environment and public health. While conventional cars that run on gasoline and diesel engines, emit CO2, sulfur oxides and carbon monoxide into the atmosphere. According to the World Health Organization, Ukraine is already ranked No. 1 in terms of premature mortality due to atmospheric pollution. This means that 120 people per 100 thousand people die each year. The number of deaths in Ukraine due to contaminated air is four times higher than in five of the cleanest countries in the world, such as: Iceland, Finland, Liberia, Canada, Vanuatu taken together. Pollution from diesel and gasoline cars helps us not to leave the leading position in the rating. Switching to a car with electric motors will solve this problem. Why do we need electric cars? We are accustomed to thinking that the main advantage of electric cars is their environmental friendliness. But these cars also have other advantages. The main types of fuel for cars, such as diesel and gasoline, are constantly rising in price. Charging the electric car costs much cheaper than refueling an ordinary car, and sometimes at all free of charge - the network of charging stations in Ukraine is constantly expanding. Today, almost every major shopping center has charging stations in the parking lot, and the number of networked filling stations is increasing, which suggest the charging of an electric vehicle. You only have to install the home and office chargers that will be used most often. For eight hours of standard recharging mode, you can run up to 200 km. The maintenance of an electric car is also cheaper. It requires high-quality service. This is possible in the presence of special tools, training and certification of staff of dealer centers. The only minus is As for the cost of electric cars, such as the premium Tesla, it really is biting. This is why in Ukraine we have a mostly budget Nissan Leaf, which, moreover, is sold informally. The car companies members of the Automobile Committee see the adoption of relevant VAT abolition laws. Currently, draft laws # 7156, # 7156-2 and # 7177 have already been drafted. In our opinion, its adoption, will accelerate sales, bring the market out of the shadows, and also have a positive effect on the cost of electric vehicles - they will become more accessible to the population and will be represented by different brands. With the adoption of the Law of Ukraine No. 822-VIII only the import duty was canceled, which was previously 10%, but this is not enough for the development of the market of electric vehicles in Ukraine. Perspectives Today, Ukraine is ahead of forecasts for the development of electric transport on sales trends. According to the Federation of Automobile Industry Employers, based on data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the second quarter of 2017, 27% more electric vehicles were sold than in the previous one, and compared with last years figures, the growth amounted to 187% over the same period. Ukraine has all the chances (faster than Europe) to replace the automobile fleet of diesel and gasoline cars on an electric vehicle and thereby reduce the average age of cars, which is almost 20 years. In this regard, the policy of the state, focused on care of the health of the nation and improvement of living conditions of the population, which will be able to buy and less to spend money on servicing the electric car, is important.
