The grain market participants and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy signed a Memorandum of Understanding

  A new marketing year in the grain industry has begun. The European Business Association is pleased to announce that the grain market participants and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2021/2022 marketing year on 5 July. For the eleventh year in a row, the Memorandum plays a key role in maintaining the balance between domestic grain consumption and export opportunities. The Grain Memorandum is designed to ensure the predictability and flexibility of the market in the context of grain exports, which are important factors for successful export activities. After all, stability and predictability are a priority for Ukraine and one of the main factors of national and food security. Production, processing and export of grain and oilseeds provide significant cash inflows to the budget and are important sectors of employment. Besides, they play an important role in ensuring the food and financial stability of the state. For reference: The Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported that as of July 2, 65 million tons were harvested in Ukraine and almost 45 million tons of grain were exported.
