Exhibition of United by Victories Murals to Open in Kyiv: Art That Unites Cities

30/ 10/ 2026
From November 1 to 14, Taras Shevchenko Park in Kyiv will host an exhibition of mural copies from the United by Victories project. The exhibition will feature 25 artworks, representing Ukraine’s 25 regions, originally created by artists from across the country as murals in Lviv supported by Sigma Software. Through art, the creators tell stories of resilience, unity, and the unbreakable spirit of Ukrainians during the war.  A special place in the Kyiv exhibition will be given to a mural by Kyiv region artist Mariia Shanho. The artwork reflects the first months of the invasion in the Kyiv region, when, despite the pain and destruction, spring arrived together with hope.  The United by Victories project was launched in 2022 as an artistic and charitable initiative in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In November 2022, a large-scale 400 m² mural was created in Lviv with the support of Sigma Software, Farbowanyi Lys Gallery, Mystetstvo UA, the Always Ukraine Charity Foundation, and Victoria Gardens. Professional street artists from all 25 regions of Ukraine contributed their works to create a shared visual story of resilience, unity, and victory.  From the very beginning, the mural also served as a fundraising platform in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The project was founded on the belief that art should not only inspire and unite, but also help. After the completion of the original mural, the project took on a new life as a traveling exhibition. Copies of all 25 artworks have already been displayed in major Ukrainian cities as well as in Germany, Poland, and Sweden. Its mission remains unchanged: to tell the world about Ukraine, showcase the strength of Ukrainian culture, and raise funds to support those defending the country.  “From the outset, United by Victories was not only an artistic project and not only a charitable one. It became a source of energy for us in dark times. Through creativity, we raise funds for the Ukrainian army and remind people that every region, every city, and every Ukrainian is part of a shared story of resistance. We want the whole world to see this story,” said project curator Oksana Nazarkevych, Head of the Lviv Office at Sigma Software.  Since its launch, the project has raised nearly USD 20,000 to support Ukrainian defenders and children education camps.  The exhibition in Shevchenko Park marks another step toward the team’s dream of bringing the exhibition to every city in Ukraine and continuing its artistic and charitable mission that unites Ukrainians around shared values, memory, and future victory. * * * Background  United by Victories is an international art and charity project that brought together professional street artists from all 25 regions of Ukraine to create a collective visual story about resilience, unity, and victory.  The original 400 m² mural was created in Lviv in November 2022.  The project received a Silver Corporate Engagement Award in London in the Best Arts and Culture Programme category.  Exhibition initiators:  Sigma Software  Sigma Software Unity Fund  Support the fundraiser: https://send.monobank.ua/jar/8gSXVAZGyZ  Donations starting from UAH 200 are eligible for a hoodie with a mural giveaway.
