14/ 10/ 2026
The European Business Association (EBA), within its Health Care Committee, is launching the Subcommittee on Cosmetic Products — a professional platform for representatives of the cosmetics industry aimed at fostering constructive dialogue between businesses and government authorities and improving the regulatory environment for the sector. The Subcommittee will serve as a platform for discussing current regulatory issues, developing a common business position, and presenting consolidated proposals to government authorities. The Subcommittee will focus on the following key areas: Advocating for transitional periods and deadlines: initiating extensions for placing products on the market and ensuring the right to sell remaining stock until the end of its shelf life. Deregulation and recognition of EU documents: implementing the principle of recognition of European Product Information Files (PIFs) and safety reports, as well as reviewing requirements for safety assessors in line with EU regulations. Addressing operational and customs barriers: resolving labelling (sticker application) issues, simplifying customs clearance, and preparing for transparent market surveillance. Membership in the Subcommittee on Cosmetic Products is open to companies that are: Manufacturers or importers of cosmetic products; Responsible Persons; Distributors of cosmetic products; Retailers of cosmetic products. The launch of the Subcommittee is an important step towards strengthening professional dialogue within the cosmetics industry and presenting a consolidated business position on regulatory issues.
