Modern and barrier-free: Foxtrot renovated its store in Lviv

26/ 03/ 2025
The store was designed in accordance with the current requirements for organizing barrier-free retail space. This makes it possible to provide a comfortable atmosphere for all customers. In March, one of the flagship stores of the Foxtrot chain in the VAM shopping center in Lviv, located at 62 Chervonoi Kalyna Avenue (operating since 2007), opened after a large-scale renovation. The new format combines a modern design stylized as “vyshyvanka”, an expanded assortment and even more comfort and opportunities for customers. The store was renovated within the existing area (retail area – 916 sq m, total area – 1,500 sq m). Thanks to the new layout, the entrance group was expanded, and the space became visually larger. The renovated store also received energy-efficient LED lighting and professional flooring with highlighted visual “accents”. The assortment of goods presented in stores has increased by 20%, and the share of the premium segment has increased by 50%. 15 new brand zones from leading manufacturers, such as Philips, Tefal, Hisense, Samsung and others, have been added. A separate Apple zone has appeared for fans of certified equipment from the brands ecosystem. And for coffee lovers, 5 brand zones of coffee machines have been set up, where you can taste the drink before buying. An important element of the renovation was taking into account the requirements for creating a barrier-free retail space and equipment. The store has a modern service hub (which combines the cash register, lending and online ordering zones) with a lowered counter for the convenience of customers in wheelchairs. Wide aisles between the rows ensure a comfortable visit to the store for parents with strollers. Also among the expected practical solutions are the presence of a holder for crutches and an induction loop, as well as the connection of a sign language service. “When you choose whether to make your business barrier-free, don’t choose: do it! After all, customer experience is not only about basic, but also about niche scenarios. As one of the first on this path, Foxtrot confirms: compliance with barrier-free standards requires more time, involvement of experts and additional investments. But the main key to success is the readiness and maximum involvement of the team and, as a result, grateful and satisfied customers. Therefore, we continue to make Foxtrot accessible to everyone,” emphasized Oleksiy Zozulya, CEO of Foxtrot. It should be noted that Foxtrot in Lviv is represented by 9 stores. As of the end of March 2025, the Foxtrot chain operates 124 retail facilities in 66 cities, the Foxtrot.ua online store and the mobile application of the same name. The company systematically implements changes aimed at ensuring accessibility, improving customer experience and corporate policy. Since 2023, the retailer has been implementing the “Barrier-Free Foxtrot” project to serve people with hearing impairments and to provide barrier-free retail space in stores. In 2024, the company increased the coverage of stores with sign language service and opened 5 stores with adaptive equipment.
