The National Bank of Ukraine has taken into account the proposals of European Business Association to simplify currency transactions. From now, private individuals residents will be able to use remote channels to provide transfers in foreign currency from current bank accounts and provide confirmation documents in electronic form. Banks will be able to create electronic copies of confirmation documents for further storage. Previously, such documents had to be provided and stored in paper form.
The above mentioned changes will come into force on June 12, 2018 (NBU Board Resolution #62 d.d. June 7, 2018 “On approval of changes to the Rules of the execution non-trading foreign exchange transactions of private individuals and their payments in Ukraine”).
