SoftServe allocates 10 million UAH on health care resources to combat coronavirus

  SoftServe has allocated 10 million UAH to support medical institutions in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The funds will be transferred to the corporate Charity Fund “Open Eyes” and will be directed to address urgent medical needs in the cities where the companys offices are located. “It is now extremely important for Ukrainian entrepreneurs to unite as we always do in challenging times. We need to stand together to support the health system at all levels and help to confront the pandemic or its effects”, says Taras Verveha - a Co-Founder and Board Member of SoftServe and the head of Charity Fund “Open Eyes”. “We have gathered a team of people who are closely monitoring the situation in the cities where our offices are located and study the most urgent needs for medical equipment, medicine, etc., together with medical institutions determine the most pressing needs that we will respond to in the shortest possible time”. To prevent the risk of spreading the virus and to protect the companys employees the company has taken the following steps: All offices and more than 8,000 SoftServe employees were transitioned to working remotely. A crisis committee has been operating for weeks, constantly monitoring the situation and makes the necessary decisions in order to secure employees and adapt the companys operating processes to new working conditions; All business trips are banned and employees are advised to avoid personal travel; A mandatory quarantine during 14 days has been set for all employees returning from business trips or private trips; The company has cancelled or moved all external training events online. All internal corporate training, as well as meetings, are moved to digital; SoftServe IT Academy courses that prepare students to start a career in IT have been moved online; The company has returned home to all employees who were on business trips and vacations.
