Land market 2021

  The Law 552-IX On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Conditions of Circulation of Agricultural Lands came into force on July 1. Agricultural lands occupy 71% (42.7 million hectares) in the structure of the land fund of Ukraine. The experience of other countries shows that the average increase in the annual value of land in the first five years of the land market is 33% (according to a Eurostat study). During EBA Dnipro Expert Voice: Land Market 2021 online meeting together with Oleg Zherebkin, lawyer of Dynasty Law and Investment, we discussed all details, new opportunities for attracting investment assets, legislative regulation of the agricultural sector after the opening of the land market, e-land trading. So buyers of agricultural land from July 1, 2021, can become: ✔ citizens of Ukraine; ✔ territorial communities; ✔ state; ✔ banks (in the order of foreclosure on collateral); ✔ legal entities of Ukraine - from 2024. Also, we learned that the purchase and sale of land is carried out in compliance with the pre-emption right to purchase it. Pre-emption right to purchase the land can be transferred to another person, who must give written notice to the owner of the land. So buyers of agricultural land from July 1, 2021, can become:

✔ citizens of Ukraine;
✔ territorial communities;
✔ state;
✔ banks (in the order of foreclosure on collateral);
✔ legal entities of Ukraine – from 2024.
