Extended Coordination Council Meeting with Heads of Committees of the Southern Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association

Listen to online Stop   On September 22, an extended meeting of the Coordination Council was held with the participation of the heads of committees of the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office. During the meeting, participants reviewed the Office’s interim results for the first half of 2026, discussed the current challenges facing businesses in the Southern region, and identified key areas for further work. Kateryna Morozova, Head of the Southern Ukrainian Office of the Association, presented the Office’s activity results. As of September, the Office had held around 40 events, bringing together more than 1,500 participants. The meeting also highlighted the development of new formats, including EBA Odesa HR Tour, Brand Breakfast, CRM Mastery, HR & Psychology Insights, and the “First Psychological Aid in the Office” programme. Advocacy and dialogue with government authorities remain an important part of the Office’s work. Key areas include access to financing, tax and customs issues, port and transport logistics, development of the maritime economy, energy resilience, and compensation for damages. During the meeting, business representatives also discussed security risks, labour shortages, rising costs and increasing logistics complexity, energy challenges, shortages of available railway rolling stock, and challenges in port logistics. A significant part of the discussion focused on the development of the Danube transport and logistics corridor and the need for a systematic approach to its further development. Participants also raised the issue of documenting damages sustained by businesses as a result of hostilities and further cooperation between the business community and relevant government and law enforcement authorities. The participants identified the key priorities for the Office’s work in the coming period: continuing advocacy and dialogue with government authorities; further work on logistics, taxation, energy resilience and security; developing sector-specific and cross-committee formats; and strengthening engagement with member companies. We thank the members of the Coordination Council and the heads of committees for their active participation, constructive discussion, and joint efforts to develop solutions that are important for businesses and the economic development of Southern Ukraine.
