On December 12, 2019, the EBA Odesa Extended Coordination Council meeting with the participation of Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads took place. We have summed up the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office activity in 2019 and discussed our key achievements. The Regional Manager Kateryna Morozova noted that this 2019 is a jubilee for the EBA and full of positive developments. EBA Odesa worked on 2 collective lobbying initiatives and 5 individual cases - all of them were successfully solved. The Corporate Security Working Group has also started. Moreover, this year we launched several new educational projects - Psychology in Effect, Brainstorm on GreenDuck Cup, CashFlow Games - and managed to organize 46 events in various formats, with 1450 participants and over 55 speakers. Among them were: Nina Yuzhanina, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Tax and Customs Policy; Volodymyr Omelyan, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine; Rayvis Vezcahans, Acting Director-General of the Ukrainian Seaport Administration; Kateryna Rozhkova, First Deputy Chairman of the NBU; Emal Bakhtari, NBU Open Markets Department Project and Program Manager; Maxim Kutsiy, Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration; Igor Reznik, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Odesa Customs Service and others. Discussing the plans for 2020, we outlined the major priorities. Among them is the continuation of a constructive dialogue with state authorities and a local government, active work in protecting the interests of companies and the introduction of new event formats, possible regional expansion. Thank you all for a great year together! We hope 2020 will be even more proactive for EBA!
