EBA Odesa Extended Coordination Council meeting

  On April 20, 2021, the spring EBA Odesa Extended  Coordination Council meeting (RCC) with the participation of Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads was held. At the beginning of the meeting, Kateryna Morozova, Head of the Southern Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association, provided brief information on the activities of the Office in the first quarter of 2021 and shared the latest achievements. First of all, we discussed the issues of advocacy of the interests of member-companies and reported on the interaction with public authorities. Thus, representatives of the Office met with the new management of the Odesa customs of the State Customs Service, took part in an online meeting of the State Regulatory Service (SRS), following which Ms. Kateryna became a member of the Advisory Board of the SRS Sector in Odesa region and recently participated in the first offline meeting. We also continue active cooperation with the management of the State Property Fund of Ukraine in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Furthermore we are preparing a meeting with the leadership of the Odesa Regional State Administration at the end of April. In total, since the beginning of the year, we have organized more than 10 events, which were attended by 39 speakers and more than 270 participants. Among new interesting business events of the Office were: Discussion of the Association: New opportunities for Ukrainian business: Cooperation Agreement between Ukraine and Great Britain; EBA Expert Talks “Vaccination against COVID-19 - to be or not to be?”; IT Talks: “How to grow and scale IT business?”; Freight Forwarders Updates: Challenges in the practice of organizing container transportation. During the meeting, special attention was paid to discussing the ideas of the Associations development in the Southern region and urgent issues of concern to the business community. Lets unite, because our joint efforts help to support business and development of the region as a whole.
