EBA Odesa Extended Coordination Council meeting with the participation of Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads

  On January 14, 2021, the first in the new year online-meeting of the renewed EBA Odesa Regional Coordination Council (RCC) with the participation of Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads was held. During the meeting summed up the results of 2020 and it should be noted that last year was truly transformative for all of us, but we not only continued our activity online, but also launched a number of new useful projects for our member companies. In particular, jointly with the other Regional Offices, we launched the Index of Business Environment Development in the Regions (Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro), created the Regional Investment Passport - a document aimed at revealing the investment potential of administrative-territorial units in which regional EBA Offices are concentrated. In addition, the EBA Odesa Office held 59 events in various formats in total, including 13 offline and 46 online. Among the prominent guests/speakers of the year can be distinguished: the Head of the Odesa Office of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, Mr. Kyle King; Ambassador of Cyprus to Ukraine Mr. Louis Telemachou; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Mr. Serhiy Shutenko; Chargé dAffaires of Ukraine in Cyprus, Ms. Natalia Sirenko; Ex-head of the Odesa Customs of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Mr. Mykhailo Hrybanov; Head of the Regional Branch of the State Property Fund of Ukraine in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions - Mr. Oleksandr Pozdnyakov and his deputies, and many powerful business experts. In total, in 2020, 87 speakers spoke on the platform of the Office and more than 1,030 participants attended our events, and the Offices lobbying efficiency was: 67% for individual companies and 100% for collective positions. Also RCC members and Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads summed up the results of 2020, discussed the goals of the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office for the current year and brainstormed cool ideas that we plan to implement in the nearest future. Among the main activities of the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office, in particular for 2021, are: continuing to increase the business community of the EBA in the South of Ukraine, active work to protect the interests of member-companies, strengthening dialogue and cooperation with public authorities and local government, creating and organization of new formats and projects for the development of priority areas in the Southern region, active implementation of new educational programs on a regular basis, organization of visits to companies, improvement of PR-visibility and interaction with the media, etc. Mr. Oleksandr Lazarev was re-elected on the position of EBA Odesa RCC Chairman and thanked his colleagues for their support and trust.
