Dealing with objections: building a dialogue with complex clients

  The EBA Odesa Legal School with ADVISERS Law Company has come to the end. On October 12, 2021, the fifth final module of the course on the topic Working with objections: building a dialogue with complex clients was held. The trainer of this module was Natalia Gudkova, Chairman of the EBA Odesa Transport Working Group, legal advisor, lawyer, co-founder of ADVISERS Law Company, course curator. Thus, Ms. Natalia allowed to look at the negotiation process from different sides in order to talk to clients and partners at the level of values, build relationships with opponents, work for greater results for the company and for myself, not be afraid to abandon negotiations and be able to stop them. Particular attention was paid to the techniques of reasoned refusal, methods of counteracting pressure and criticism during negotiations, the algorithm of action in case of defeat to understand how to move forward. There are some useful recommendations from the curator of the course on this topic: When dealing with objections, it is important to translate emotions into a business approach. We do not avoid problems, but find ways to solve them: we analyze the mistakes that led to the defeat.Competence and self-confidence are important elements of success in negotiations. Personal positioning is the key to an effective result.Determination is the golden rule of effectiveness. In addition, the most active participants were awarded with certificates after five modules activity. On behalf of the European Business Association, we thank ADVISERS Law Company, in particular Vasyl Penkovsky, Maria Belogub, Oleksandr Bugela for coaching, and Ms. Natalia for her personal contribution to the development of the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office! We wish the participants to make the most of the acquired practical knowledge in personal and professional development!
