PwC Ukraine announces new Country Managing Partner

  PwC Ukraine is pleased to announce the appointment of Ago Vilu as new Country Managing Partner beginning from July 1, 2018. Mr. Vilu succeeds Richard Pollard, the current PwC Ukraine Country Managing Partner, who has retired this June after a 30-year career with PwC. Ago Vilu has over 20 years’ experience with PwC and has been a partner since 2006. He has extensive expertise in the field of IFRS and specialises in providing audit services to major listed global companies. Ago graduated from the University of Karlsruhe (Germany) in 1994, specialising in business administration. He became an Estonian authorised auditor in 1995 and joined PwC the same year. He has worked for two years (1997-1999) in the Global Corporate Reporting Group of PwC London office, where he used to advise companies on IFRS questions all around the world. The last 10 years Ago has been the Country Managing Partner for PwC Estonia and also the Lead Partner for PwC Baltics and Belarus. “I would like to thank Richard Pollard who led PwC Ukraine for the last 1,5 years. I am happy to start the new chapter in my career and believe that despite the period of economic challenge and uncertainty PwC Ukraine will continue bringing value to its customers and building trust in society,” - commented Ago. Ago has led the audits of a number of high profile clients in Estonia and the Baltics. He is a member of the PwC Global Accounting Consulting Services (“IFRS Technical”) network and a co-author of PwC global IFRS handbook, Manual of Accounting. In 2001-2007 and 2010-2016 Ago was the Chairman of the Estonian Accounting Standards Board. He is also a member of the Accounting Regulatory Committee (ARC) of the European Union, which is the body responsible for endorsement of IFRS standards in the EU.
